Both my great grandfather and grandfather instilled a process in my father and me which is rooted in traditional woodworking techniques with modern technology. We start with carefully selected sourced wood and a use of precision hand tools and modern machinery to create each piece. We believe that attention to detail and quality craftsmanship are essential to creating furniture that will last for generations which will be both beautiful and functional.

Fourth generation cabinetmaker. Grew up in the shop under feet along with playing on the lathe. Built his first Queen Anne stool when he was 12. Built many pieces for many museums and different government agencies across the country. Hire by the government as an instructor and consultant. Took over running the business in 1981 once returning to the shop after working for The White House. Written for many publications including Fine Woodworking Magazine.  

One of Virginia's native sons, Steve is responsible for building many of the most magnificent pieces of a generation. Started working in the shop, building and restoring, American furniture in 1975. Apprenticed under Mack Headley Sr.
