Continuing a family tradition of offering the best handmade pieces of furniture, architectural, and true American folk art, along with Period restoration services. What we have to offer with experience and local lore is unparalleled. At Mack S Headley & Sons, we are passionate about creating beautiful and functional pieces that will last for generations. Although the Headley family has been building in America since the 1690's our unique family journey began over 100 years ago in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, building upon over 5 generations of the crafting and care of custom pieces, both furniture and Architecture. Today, we continue to be inspired by the natural beauty of wood and the satisfaction of creating something that will be cherished for generations.

Our process is rooted in traditional woodworking joinery techniques along with hand carved embellishments. We start with carefully selected hardwoods and use precision machinery, as apprentices, just sizing material hand tools to create each piece. Hand cutting and fitting dovetails, mortise and tenons, true Period construction. We believe that attention to detail and quality craftsmanship are essential to creating furniture that is both beautiful and functional along with generational. Our pieces are not to be thrown away but collected by the perceptive eye. Cherished to last multiple lifetimes.

In addition to building custom furniture, we offer a wide range of woodworking services including the restoration of cherished heirlooms or the piece you just purchased. We are committed to providing exceptional care to one's, loved and cherished, family heirlooms. We ensuring that each project meets our clients' unique needs. Contact us to discuss your next woodworking restoration. Please except that we have a considerable backlog with our current restorations.
